About The Resort

Devil’s Thumb Ranch is a 6,000 acre environmentally friendly guest ranch located approximately 10 miles from Winter Park, Colorado, with emphasis on “rustic elegance” and a true Colorado experience.   Winter activities include cross country ski trails, ice skating, snow shoeing and sleigh rides. Summer activities include fly fishing guided mountain biking, hiking and rafting. Other features including 2 restaurants and a cafe, activities, full spa, and archery.

 

Opportunity Details
  • F&B-$12.56 per hour guaranteed but estimated will be $15 to $17 per hour.

  • Culinary-$16 per hour

  • Front Office- $17 per hour

  • Housekeeping Supervisor-$17 per hour

  • Human Resources-$16 per hour

About The Location

Tabernash, a small mountain community, is located in northwest Colorado between the towns of Granby and Fraser/Winter Park.

Housing Details

$300/month shared rooms, rooms will be with same gender and apartments will be co-ed. 

Free shuttle provided to the ranch and to the grocery store (schedule for shuttle will be provided). Rent will be deducted from paycheck, shared bathrooms, communal kitchen/living room, access to laundry facilities. 1 mile distance from property.

Arrival

Fly into Denver International Airport. (DEN). Before booking a flight, the participant must reach out to Diana (IHC) and coordinate flight and arrival.  Participant will arrange travel from Denver Airport to Tabernash. 

  • Option 1: Greyhound Bus from Denver Airport to Tabernash, CO. Pickup from Bus Stop.

  • Option 2: Take the Train to Union Station and then the Train to Winter Park/Fraser. You will be picked up from the train station.

  • Option 3: Home James shuttle from DIA directly to DTR https://www.ridehj.com/rates

Additional Details
  • Uniform are provided. F&B: shirts, aprons, name tag, service tools Culinary: chef's jackets, aprons, hats FO: shirts, name tags .

  • Participant must provide or purchase black slacks/pants, white undershirts, black socks, black non-slip shoes FO: black slacks, white undershirts, black socks, black non-slip shoes Culinary: chef's pants, non-slip kitchen shoes, undershirts

  • Appearance standards: No visible tattoos/piercings

  • Meals 50% off of regular menu price

  • Transportation will be provided at least once per week for the exchange visitor to go into the town to do personal tasks (groceries, post office, etc). Transportation will be made available also in the event of an emergency.
